Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to complete the travel questionnaire to enable the nurse to assess which vaccinations you require prior to travel. We recommend you submit this form as early as possible (at least 6 weeks before you travel). Following on from your questionnaire, the nurse will inform you which vaccinations are recommended.

The following vaccinations are commonly required for many holiday destinations, and are free of charge on the NHS:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus & polio (combined)
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid

If you require travel vaccines which are not listed above, we unfortunately cannot provide these vaccines as we do not stock these vaccines and not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. You can however, attend a local travel clinic to obtain the vaccines which are not listed, these will incur a charge.
